Licensed Exhorter

11/03/22 I was approved to receive my Exhorter’s License in the Christian Methodist Episcopal church. I was presented with my license 11/06/22. It’s an honor to continue working for the lord.

In the cme church it’s a step leading to becoming a local preacher, ultimately becoming a pastor.

As a Licensed Exhorter I’ll continue to pray for others, provide words of encouragement, assist in the feeding and clothing ministry. Be available to my pastor to offer assistance.

On 11/17/22 I performed my first of many to come presentation on the prayer line titled “When A Woman Prayers”. It was an honor and I am ever so grateful to Rev. Diane Smith for the opportunity.

Furthest I’ve Traveled

Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

The furthest I’ve ever traveled to from home is to Tacoma Washington. I relocated with my husband, now ex-husband. It was December 1988 and it rained all the time. One time it snowed. There were plenty of accidents with people sledding down the hill into the road because they weren’t use to snow.

The apartment complex we lived in was near an Army base and when the privates would ship out they would have a garage sale and sold everything for $.10 each. I loved it!

We lived near the ocean but I never got a chance to see it. I was pregnant and placed on bed rest at 5 months. I had toxemia turning to the pre-eclampsia stage. My son was delivered by c-section at 8 months in St Joseph Hospital in Seattle Washington.

Tacoma Washington will always be special to me, that’s where I first learned to trust others.

Life After Having Covid-19

I’ve been operating a consulting company since 2007 in which I provide training in the field of Property Preservation. Since the start of the pandemic in 2019 I’ve implemented safety measures to protect me against contracting the virus because of asthma. I use hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, and is double vaccinated.

All my safety measures didn’t prevent me from contracting the virus, which hospitalized me 01/2022 with covid-19 and phenomenon in my left lung. I didn’t contract it on a job site but in a dealership 12/2021 while purchasing a vehicle with a mask on, and being double vaccinated.

Since having covid-19 I’m unable to take deep breaths, and I have a cough. Being in rooms with central air or riding in a car with the air conditioner on I have to close the vents. Direct air blowing on me is not good for me.

Today I keep wearing my mask and encourage others to think for themselves. If you want to wear your mask or not it’s your choice. My new motto is Safety First!
